We are delighted to still be here, with and for you; Treating, Teaching and Supporting you through your recovery.

Our Journey

WHP was started by Liz in June 2007. It all began with an accidental conversation with my hairdresser. He offered his salon to me to rent for a physiotherapy clinic. I thought long and hard (as I was already working in private practice with a young family) but decided even with all its risks and no experience in business to go for it!

15 years later we are still here.

With up/downs we have survived, strengthened and slightly expanded. We have been supported by various back office staff over the years who have all played their part in making us work efficiently, professionally and compassionately. We have hosted Yoga classes, Balance Workshops, Charity events and Educational events.

Matthew arriving in 2011 added an extra dimension. He has brought so much to us and his clients. His knowledge, clinical expertise and appetite for learning has contributed extra dimensions to WHP with the introduction of evidence based practice, Shockwave Therapy and more recently a Masters Degree in pain management. We notice that he has an ever expanding ‘fan club’ of clients waiting to see him!

Today

We are grateful to have Niall, Mark and Ellie working with us.

Niall joined WHP 2019. He comes from a rehab background and wanted to join us to consolidate his treatments and hands-on approach. He has learnt a lot, progressed and is a whizz with the software. He also teaches us too! Especially with rehabilitation and acute sports injuries. He has brought his amputee rehab skills to WHP and hopes to expand with this. He’s a great asset and very funny.

Mark does all the hard work of massaging for 60 minutes!!! He joined us in 2019 and enjoys continued learning (and talking) haha. He has a firm grip and plenty of stamina for those knotty muscles in legs, back and shoulders.

Ellie, our student. What canI say … a lust for knowledge, experience and team work. She’s the future of WHP and once qualified hopes to take on some ‘real live clients’ aaghhhh.

We moved to the Doctors surgery in 2019 to simplify the business, change the model slightly and offer an improved service/facilities for our expanding client list. I have been a physio for ,coming up 30 years now, and although I won’t be here in the next 15, I hope that this team we have built can take over the reins and push it further for the next 15years x
